Take I-85 North from Atlanta to I-985 which merges into Hwy 441 and Hwy 23.

Take Hwy 441 & Hwy 23 to Franklin, NC. As you are coming to Franklin on Hwy 441 you will see a McDonald's and Winn Dixie on your left. Go about 1/2 block, you will see the 441/64 By-pass on your right.

Take this Hwy 441 and Hwy 64 by-pass east to the second exit which is Hwy's 64 & 28 East, also known as the Highlands Road.

Take Hwy 64 & 28 East (Highlands Road), go 6 miles to Walnut Creek Road.

Turn left on Walnut Creek Road. Go 10 miles up Walnut Cr Rd. If you start up the mountain on Hwy 64, you passed Walnut Cr Rd and you need to go back. When you reach the crest of the mountain on Walnut Cr Rd, there is a beautiful panoramic view of the mountains. You come down on the Jackson County side and the same road is now called Pine Creek Road.

Within 2 miles of us, you pass a red brick church on a hill to your left. Shortly thereafter you come to a stop sign.
Opposite the stop sign, our first directional sign tells you to go 8/10 mile to Cullowhee Mt. Rd., the first paved road on your left, turn left on to Cullowhee Mt. Rd.

Go 1 mile up Cullowhee Mt. Rd., turn right into the entrance on to Arrowmont Trail. The front gate may be closed but it is to keep horses in, not people out. There is a sign at the entrance, a sign at Cullowhee Mt Rd and Pine Crk Rd, and the sign near the church on Pine Creek Rd.

Plan about 30-45 minutes from Franklin. Plan about 45 minutes from Otto. Plan about 1 hour from Clayton, GA.
Plan about 2 1/2 hours from Jimmy Carter Blvd. at I-85 in north Atlanta.
